LG: SHEMALE

So today Marin and I had class together. The topic we discussed in class was Genderlects. We talked about the differences and similarities between "Men-Talk" and "Women-Talk". One main differece is that women communicate to establish a connection with someone. On the other hand, men communicate for status.

Long story short...

A scholar stated that "Men tell more STORIES and jokes than females do." When the professor began talking about what the scholar said, I just HAD to jump in.

Liz: "I feel like their are certain exceptions about that last statement because I love telling people stories and I will tell stories regardless if they want to hear them or not, I really don't care I will share my stories."
Marin: "She will!"
Professor: She male? hahahaha! Did you just call her that?
Class: HAHAHA!

Somewhere in between me finishing my opinion, Marin throwing in her two cents, and people chuckling, our Professor thought he heard Marin call me a "SHEMALE". He just thought it was so funny, I gotta admit it was pretty funny.

I guess it wasn't a short story after all... you just had to be there.

ML: 19 dollars later...

As many of you may know...I DISLIKE most movies. For me, I would rather be spending my time doing something active, something that involves movement, talking, etc. Movie's don't fit into that category...I do however, every blue moon, get the urge to want to go to a movie. (Very rare).

Anyways, so Lizeth and I went to go see the well awarded, Slumdog Millionaire. WOW! It was great! I give it my highest recommendation!

(I attempted to put the trailer on here...evidentlly I am a bit technologically SLOWWW. never could figure it out. Welp, enjoy the pics)

LG:Night Out

Two of my good friends payed their annual visit to see me at VU. Paul aka Black Stud Compton & Khalid aka Too Tall Muhammed. LMAO. We reminisced on good times and chatted about future plans. Between taking pictures at Momma D's ditching that to go to Ruby's, being asked for a cigarrette by a twelve year old in a "carousel", and listening to Drake, it was a fun time. Thanks guys...I will be waiting for RobotFresh!

LG: Have a laugh...

One of my old hobbies was to read and collect comic strips from the Los Angeles Times. I would read them, cut them out, and stuff them in a binder. I didn't collect just any random comic strips. It had to catch my attention and at least make me chuckle. Some of the comics I would constantly read were:

-Candorville
-La Cucaracha
-Lio
-Pearls before Swine
-Cathy
-Dennis the Menace
-Non Sequitor
-Peanuts
and my personal favorite...

THE BOONDOCKS

ML: Let The Count Down Begin!

10 days tell my lips will touch that WARM coffee mug...

10 days tell I get OVERWHELMED with all the gossip that has been happening while I've been away...
10 days tell my face is COVERED with sugar crumbles from her blueberry muffins...
10 days tell all my worries are GONE...
10 days tell...

LG:Sofia's Bet

[Karina: Cute outfit. Taking pictures of herself.]

[Lizeth: Comfortable outfit. Watching the basketball game.]

Many of you know my cousin Karina. She's the most fashionable, trendy, bubbly, spunkiest, photogenic girly girl you will meet. I on the other hand, am a tad bit different. I use fashion when I feel it's needed, athletic but not an athlete, SpOraDic, and I can't take a decent picture if my life depended on it. This is where the "Funny Face Theory" comes into place.

Funny Face Theory: This theory was founded by Lizeth Guevara originally from Los Angeles through her personal experiences. She believed that she solved the self-conscious feeling when in the process of taking a picture. When one makes a "funny face" they eliminate any seriousness in the picture therefore making it a silly picture. One doesn't feel as bad when it doesn't turn out the way it was once desired.

With all that being said...

Our smallest cousin, Sofia Liliana, was about a year and a half when we placed a bet on who she was going to be like when she got older. Yea I know, how shallow to place a bet on the future of a one year old, but we did! Karina said she was going to be a "Princess" and I said she was going to be the opposite, not so much a princess but not so much a tomboy, just simply: SpOraDiC!

The years progressed and Sofia is now 3. Her personality is slowly but surely blooming. And I think we were both WRONG. She is her own person. I babysat her a lot throughout winter break and she sure did show me. She can be a Princess and be SpOraDic at the same time!

She thinks it's SO funny when...
she scratches my face!

This one's for you KP "Princess Sofia"

This is one of the MANY "funny faces" I have taught her

Through it all I see a little bit of me through her.
