LG: Fav Five

Once upon there were five best friends.
They always had great times together.
...
From going to a college prep high school that was kicked off their property,
then moved to 98th Elementary School, and then to the back end of Southwest.
Fun times eating (Carls Jr. & Food 4 Less junk), laughing (about everything), talking (about the past, present, & future) clowning (on everyone), flipping (backpacks), running (from MCHS administration), riding (on the bus to 98th), selling (Noe's Snapples), planning (school events), making ("school spirit" posters), working (on Strauss & Dixon's HW), playing (softball), taking (stats for the basketball team), dancing (at prom & other random times), AND simply enjoying each other.
...
There came a time when we all had to go our seperate ways and go to college.
Vanguard. Berkeley. San Diego State. El Camino. CSUN.
[June 2007]
Nevertheless, we finally REUNITED and had a good time.
[Jan. 2010]

LG: The Book of Eli

BELIEVE IN HOPE
RELIGION IS POWER
DELIVER US

Allowed me to realize how certain things are worth more than anything.
How we are able to have a Bible in our possession, without having to hide it.
How we wont be persecuted for having this significant book in our hands.
How this one book, The Holy Bible, is the answer to all of our problems.

LG: Dream

"I look forward confidently to the day when all who work for a living will be one with no thought to their separateness as Negroes, Jews, Italians or any other distinctions. This will be the day when we bring into full realization the American dream -- a dream yet unfulfilled. A dream of equality of opportunity, of privilege and property widely distributed; a dream of a land where men will not take necessities from the many to give luxuries to the few; a dream of a land where men will not argue that the color of a man's skin determines the content of his character; a dream of a nation where all our gifts and resources are held not for ourselves alone, but as instruments of service for the rest of humanity; the dream of a country where every man will respect the dignity and worth of the human personality. " -Martin Luther King Jr.
